Dr. Carlos S. Alvarado and Dr. Nancy L. Zingrone met in 1983 and threw their lot in together a few months later. Prior to meeting each other, they were both interested in the scientific study of psychic phenomena, influenced by the experiences of friends and relatives, by family stories, and by their undergraduate psychology professors. Since 1986 they’ve spent most of their lives working in the same office, doing research and writing, and more recently teaching online.
In 2005, along came Natasha Chisdes, who had an interest in the paranormal, a history of substantive volunteerism with various not-for-profits and mad organizational skills. She joined us first as a volunteer for the Parapsychology Foundation’s 2005 Charlottesville conference on mediumship and has been an integral part of the research, publishing and now teaching activities of The AZIRE.
